SDP and his razor-sharp band, bassist Sophie Lord and drummer Jack Greenwood, perform songs from their new album “2020 Visions” alongside blues deep-cuts. Dynamic excitement born of the blues, with a refreshingly daring approach, launches Petit from the roots of deep-blues boldly into hitherto unexplored rock-guitar excellence, through influences from Charlie Patton and Blind Willie Johnson to BB King and Chicago’s Chess, to Cream and Zeppelin via The Bluesbreakers, forging stratospheric new-millennium six-string soundscapes.
Upton Blues Festival, a multi award winning event, is set in the lovely Worcestershire riverside town of Upton upon Severn. Over the weekend it fills with thousands of visitors who come for the great atmosphere and live music at 3 stages and 13 pub venues with 160+ free to enter gigs over the weekend. Good camping and car parking facilities are a walk away. As a registered charity (No. 1148230) the Festival promotes Blues, Live Music and supports a number of good causes in the local community with funding. It relies very much on the support of festival visitors to be able to sustain its commitments. Come and have a great time! www.uptonbluesfestival.com
