It’s been said that the healing quality of Blind Willie Johnson’s song, first released in the Great Depression year of 1930 when “the mood of the country had darkened”, likely led to it’s resounding success. SDP and his band re-imagine this haunting track for 2018, drafting in Shemekia Copeland and Paul Jones as special guests.
